These tutorials focus mainly on OpenGL, Win32 programming and the ODE physics engine. OpenGL has moved on to great heights and I don't cover the newest features but cover all of the basic concepts you will need with working example programs.
Working with the Win32 API is a great way to get to the heart of Windows and is just as relevant today as ever before. Whereas ODE has been marginalized as hardware accelerated physics becomes more common.
Games and graphics utilities can be made quickly and easily using game engines like Unity so this and Linux development in general will be the focus of my next tutorials.
To the Children of the Modern Age and Beyond
By Alan Baylis
The outcome of the present social trend does not look promising. In the beginning most work was manual labour and people were assured of a job. Gradually the workers were put to work making machines, which inevitably replaced a lot of workers in all areas. Many workers turned, through necessity, to non-manual labor orientated work in businesses and many were put to work making a machine to handle the work of business. This has already occurred with the advent of the computer and the pains of redundancy are still being felt (1998.) The workers are now being put to making robots; when they are completely successful, all workers (no distinction between laboring and thinking necessary) will have no means with which to earn a living. All that will be left will be the corporations; whose only motive is profit. They will use their automation to produce products for an increasingly poor society and when the market shrinks we know they will battle harder to make consumers. The only outcome is extremely high unemployment. Only the shareholders and those few needed to run the corporations will have non-state based incomes.
For the solution, read the Bible.
